Our roots and values

Helping people move forward - with integrity, compassion and a commitment to creating positive change.

For more than four decades, Melinda Beckett-Hughes has worked with individuals, leaders and organisations through periods of challenge, opportunity and change.

Her career began in executive search, business and organisational development before expanding into leadership coaching, counselling psychology and trusted personal guidance. She later established the Ayuda Foundation to support socially excluded individuals and developed Ayuda Group into the diverse organisation it is today.

The name Ayuda—the Spanish word for “help”—reflects the principle that has connected every stage of this journey: using experience, relationships and resources to help people move forward.

Today, Ayuda’s work spans Personal Counsel, individually designed retreats, international business and charitable initiatives. Although these activities are very different, they share the same foundations: integrity, discretion, compassion, practical support and a genuine desire to create positive change.

Our philosophy remains:

Have Fun. Make Money. Create Change. Do Good.

Success matters—but so does what we do with it. Ayuda seeks to create commercial value while building relationships, opening possibilities and contributing to something beyond ourselves.

Whatever the starting point, our purpose is to help people find greater clarity, make meaningful connections and move towards what comes next.
